We only charge by the job so you know you are getting your money's worth. We offer many services to meet your computer needs. Below are some of our services and respective rates for each. Computer Services 1: Complete Operating System Reinstalls - $124.95 - for most cases. This includes loading the operating system and any provided software by the customer, all windows updates, virus protection and fire walls if needed and cleaning of your computer inside and out. This also includes any help with software that may be needed that you do not currently have. 2: Data Backup - $29.95 - This includes backing up all data on the hard drive that is not potentially virus infected, to be kept as a backup or to be reloaded after a complete reinstall of the operating system. 3: Basic Maintenance Package - $49.95 - This package includes a total clean up of your computer inside and out, scanning the computer for viruses, adware, spyware, performing windows updates if needed and any recommendations to what your computer might need to perform better and faster. 4: Imaging - Prices vary depending on hard drive capacity and data included - $39.95 in most cases for 40GB or less used space on your hard drive - After a complete reinstall of the operating system we can build an image of your computer to be stored on our data storage system which can speed up your rebuild time in the future if your computer crashes or if the hard drives fails. This stored image will allow us to completely reload your computer in just a matter of minutes, unlike the 3 - 6 hours that it would normally take for a complete normal reload. Imaging is also useful if you like the way your computer is running now and would like to have a total backup in case of hard drive failure or virus infection. Images are stored for 12 months at a time unless other arrangements are made before your image date expires. Discounts are available for customers with images stored with PC DREAMS and would like to re-image again to keep a current image on hand with us, talk to one of our techs today for more information on our imaging process and data storage services. 5: Clean Up Package - $19.95 - This is a basic cleanup package where we open up your computer and clean out all of the dirt and dust that will potentially damage your computer and render it useless. Preparing your computer to be brought to our shop: • Make a list of the problems with your computer. (Remember to include your name, address, & phone number.) If you have no access to a working computer with a printer, please print legibly! • Include any passwords needed to start your computer, login, or log on to your internet service. Passwords, if needed, to come out of the screen saver or sleep mode, any other passwords that might prohibit us from accessing your computer or internet service. Remember, passwords are cAse seNsiTive. • Remove any floppy disks or CD-ROMS from the drives. • Disconnect all cables from the machine, and retain them. • Include the following CDs: * Operating System (Windows 98, ME, XP, Etc.) with Key Number. * Driver CDs for Video, Sound, Modem, Etc. Any program CDs you wish us to re-install. (Include passwords, or Keys if required) • Bring the computer to: PC DREAMS 310 Old Watauga Rd. Our repair components are generally of a higher quality then the original parts used when your computer was originally constructed. You can rest assured your computer will be serviced by the most competent and proficient professionals in the industry. The Full Treatment Your computer gets the full treatment when it visits our shop. The following is a list of the services performed at no additional charge to every computer that comes through our shop: Some tests or adjustments may be omitted if we feel that your computer’s data integrity could be compromised. • Memory test. • CPU test. • Virus check. • Hard drive scan and verification. • Hard drive defragment. • Floppy drive cleaning and test. • CD-ROM/DVD drive cleaning and test. • Cooling system check. • Internal cables and connectors checked. • Internal system cleaning. • Electrical safety check. • Lead-dress check and repair. • Modem test. • Sound system check. We will inform you if any of the above checks or adjustments uncover any safety or reliability issues.
